First gallop: he knocked over a bucket
Galopin was born in motion. Three minutes after his birth, he did a lap of the paddock, knocked over a bucket, then kissed his mother on the muzzle. That bucket has been on display in the barn ever since, as his first trophy.
Still looking for his fifth gear
Galopin is convinced he has a hidden fifth gear. He trains every morning in the meadow. Four gears are known: walk, trot, gallop, and "big gallop". The fifth is hiding. He talks to his mane about it, which doesn't answer but floats a bit higher when he believes.
Has his idea book under his mane
Galopin tucks his ideas under his mane, because he has no pockets. There are already twelve plans to conquer the world, three of which don't hold up, and one that involves a giant carrot. The notebook is made of leaves, and gets eaten regularly.
