First treasure map: a drawing of a seashell
Crabby drew his first treasure map at three days old, on a single grain of sand. He marked an X on a seashell. The seashell moved. Crabby is still searching. He says that's "true adventure".

Refuses to dig, lets the waves dig
Crabby refuses to dig. He says the waves do it better. He sits, watches, and waits. After an hour, he points his claw and says "there". There's often something. Often a pebble. Always important to him.

Keeps a ship's log in the sand
Crabby keeps a ship's log right in the sand. The tide erases it every evening. He starts over every morning. He says it's "purer". He also keeps a pocket book, but that's for backup copies.
