Took three days to come out of his shell

Carapaco took three days to come out of the egg. The doctor waited. His mother knitted a sweater. The family watched the sunset twice. When he emerged, he just said "there". No one held it against him.

CHAPTER 02

Crossed a sidewalk in two weeks

Carapaco crossed a sidewalk in two weeks. He says the first step is the hardest. A crowd gathered to watch him finish. He was applauded. He bowed, slowly, which took another six minutes.

CHAPTER 03

Has been re-reading the same sentence for four years

Carapaco has been re-reading the same sentence for four years. He says he's "about to understand". The sentence is: "Time is a river looking out the window." Nobody knows what it means. Neither does he, yet.
